This important piece of equipment was purchased by the Chris Jones Riders Fund (CJRF) and was presented at Brands Hatch on 9th April 2007 by The Fund to the organisers of the British Superbike Series.
The Fund was set up after the tragic death of 14-year-old Chris Jones at Cadwell Park in 2005. Chris was taken by air ambulance to Hospital. In his memory, the Jones family s wish was to raise funds to provide this vital piece of machinery that was not available at the time of his accident
The machine cost close to £100,000 which was raised throughout 2006
Because of the generosity of so many kind people this machine will enable the riders to be scanned trackside and will be taken to every race meeting throughout the season.
I am sure you will all agree this is an essential piece of equipment and is the first and only one to be in permanent use in a motor sports series in the UK, so please be generous and carrying on donating wherever possible.
Donations are vital to enable the fund to grow and make the equipment available to everyone and the Fund can continue to look after the safety of all riders who risk their lives for our enjoyment and entertainment.
For more information on the fund please visit the CJ truck at Centurion Racing in the paddock at every race meeting, or visit our website at www.cjnine.com
Thank you for all your kind support
